Powergaming
Powergaming involves gaining an advantage in a role-playing (RP) scenario, typically by exploiting in-game mechanics or role-playing actions, in a way that leaves other players with minimal opportunity to interact or defend themselves. It effectively limits the choices and agency of other participants in the RP, often resulting in their inevitable loss or disadvantage.
Section 12: Powergaming
12.1 Prohibition of Powergaming:
Powergaming in any form is strictly prohibited within our community.
12.2 Examples of Powergaming:
Force Mutilation/Dismemberment:
You must obtain consent for actions that result in dismemberment or grotesque mutilation.
Consent can be obtained through "/me" attempts to sever a body part slowly or via direct messaging (DM) to the individual involved (preferred method).
The individual has the right to object or choose to consent and roleplay the consequences at a later date.
Calling Shots:
Do not arbitrarily declare that you have shot someone in the head, as it constitutes attempted murder.
Such actions carry severe consequences, even if claimed to be in self-defense, as they demonstrate intent to kill.
Disruptive Communication:
Refrain from constantly speaking over other players, preventing them from speaking or defending themselves.
Robbery Protocol:
When robbing players, ensure they are given an opportunity to speak or defend themselves.
No Exit Scenarios:
Avoid putting someone in a position where they have no way to escape or resolve the situation.
Hostage Usage:
Do not exploit hostages for powergaming purposes in the context of heists or robberies.
