New Life Rule
Kindly pay close attention to this rule; it distinguishes itself from rules on other servers.
Section 17: New Life Rule (NLR)
17.1 Definitions:
Incapacitated: You are downed, essentially in a terrible condition where you are unconscious, and you see the timer ticking down.
Dead: This means you've been declared dead by a medic, scenario, or you've respawned at the hospital.
CK: This acronym, Character Kill (CK), signifies the permanent demise of your character within the narrative. The initiation of a CK can only occur through self-infliction or by submitting a formal request, which requires approval from an administrator. It is crucial to understand that once a CK is executed, there are no opportunities for reversal or retrieval.
17.2 NLR Memory Limitations (Incapacitated):
If you are incapacitated, you MUST NOT remember key details about anyone involved in your incapacitation in situations directly preceding it.
You may remember small details, such as the make/model/color of the vehicle that transported you.
You can remember the why and how, like the reason for your incapacitation and where it happened, but not who did it. For example, if
Reece Jones
killed you for snitching and threw you off a dam, you remember someone threw you off a dam for snitching. You can remember what someone was wearing, their build, and gender if applicable.
17.3 NLR Memory Limitations (Dead):
If you are dead, you do not remember anything leading up to your death.
17.4 NLR and Explosions or Falling:
If killed by explosions or falling from great heights, players can be revived but must not remember anything leading up to their death.
17.5 Requesting Revival:
Effective immediately, self-declaration of incapacitation using commands such as '/me no pulse' is no longer permissible. The determination of whether a character can be revived or not is now exclusively managed by the medical system. While our dedicated medics will make every effort to revive individuals, it is important to note that once the medical system designates a character as deceased, even our skilled medics will be unable to revive them.
17.6 Revival Process:
EMS/PD will not revive downed players until they indicate that is what they want.
The LSPD can charge/arrest Players for crimes committed before they respawned.
CRIMINALS: Respawn and claim memory loss to avoid PD charges is not allowed. Use creative means such as masks, different voices, outfits, or vehicles to conceal your identity.
17.7 Waiting Period for Criminals:
CRIMINALS: Must wait 1 hour before re-engaging in the conflict that caused them to be downed/respawned.
Use common sense: Do not re-engage if you suffered severe injuries, even if the waiting period has passed. RP serious injuries.
17.8 Examples of Prohibited Actions:
Respawn and immediately drive a car to pick up your wanted friend who you just attempted to rob the bank with.
EMS revives a PD Officer who then immediately starts chasing the Criminal(s) who escaped a Robbery.
17.9 Explosives:
If you want to claim having an explosive, you must have an actual explosive to demonstrate this. Counterplay should be available for the other side.
17.10 Sniper Rifles and Revolvers:
Sniper rifles and revolvers must not be used on players; their primary function should be to disable vehicles.
