Heist Rules
Section 16: Heist Rules
These rules must be followed for any robberies, whether you're the culprit or a responding officer.
16.1 Vehicle Restrictions:
Supercars cannot be used as getaway vehicles in heists/robberies.
Escape by running into the water is not allowed.
16.2 Police Identification:
Police must immediately identify themselves upon arriving at the scene of a heist/robbery.
They must attempt verbal communication before resorting to firing their weapons.
This applies only when criminals are in the immediate area.
This rule is in effect from the start of the robbery/heist until either the criminals are arrested or they escape.
16.3 Suppressing Shots:
Police will assume that suppressive shots will be fired at them without verbal communication from criminals.
Both police and criminals are allowed to return fire with the intent to injure or incapacitate once suppressive fire is received.
Police and criminals must be given an opportunity to take cover if loading in at an entry point before firing. Camping the load-in point is not allowed.
16.4 Criminals and Verbal Communication:
Criminals are not required to use verbal communication before firing at police.
However, they must use suppressive fire if they choose not to communicate verbally first. Suppressive fire is firing shots at police with the intent to push them back into cover without injuring them.
Give police the opportunity to take cover, react, and return fire before shooting with the intent to incapacitate.
16.5 Combat Logging:
Do not log out in the middle of combat, a practice known as combat logging.
16.6 Altering Appearance:
Do not visit the barbershop with the intent to drastically change your appearance if you are wanted by the police.
Examples of what is NOT allowed include changing your face, eyebrows, hairstyle, age, etc.
Examples of what IS allowed include dyeing hair, wearing a painted mask, or shaving off a beard.
16.7 Maximum Participants in a Heist:
A maximum of 6 people can be involved in a heist. This limitation allows for counterplay by the police.
16.8 Coordinated Heists:
Do not knowingly coordinate heists to start at the same time. Allow at least 10 minutes between the completion of heists.
This practice is considered unfair to the police.
16.9 Unrealistic Escape Routes:
Do not park vehicles inside a heist building with the intent of escaping through the doors, as this is unrealistic.
Example: Using a motorcycle in a store robbery.
